🤖 Does AI Mean The End Of Freelancing?

Skynet's taking the writing jobs. Or is it?

It’s the new wave.

ChatGPT, Notion AI, Jasper, and other AI technologies are taking the creator world by storm.

And for good reason.

I’ve used some of them and shared these tools with some friends and clients and our minds are collectively blown. 🤯

A post that would take me an hour to write, with the right prompts, I can effectively do in 10-15 minutes.

If this is just the start, we can only imagine how accurate and intuitive they will become for text, images, applications, and much more.

So as freelancers, should we be worried?

As a freelance writer, it was jarring at first to see an application do the same job I use to feed my family in just a few minutes.

Logo designers. Copywriters. SEO. It can do it all.

But the more I dove into these applications, the more I saw the value.

AI itself won’t replace you.

The person who learns how to use it effectively will.

The future of freelancing incorporates these technologies to work faster and at scale.

And as long as we’re around, AI won’t do it quite as well as the client wants it. It will still require the human touch.

If you’re cursing AI or trying to avoid it altogether in an attempt to be “human,” you’re missing out. With AI you can:

  • Banish writer’s block

  • Become a curator rather than a creator

  • Learn the proper prompts to increase productivity

  • Move your ideas to launch in a fraction of the time

  • Automate things like cold email, sales support, and much more

  • Find freelance clients who encourage AI content and work

If freelancing is part of your future, so should AI.

Learn it. Embrace it. Use it to become the best freelancer you can be.

Until next time.
