The Future Is Freelance

Hi there,

This is Marv.

I know what you're thinking. Who is this? And why are you emailing me?

Well, we've likely connected on Medium, where I've written about personal development and, more importantly, Freelancing, for over 4 years.

Or you purchased my ebook, The 2K Freelancer, where I give the basics on becoming a freelancer.

I occasionally get questions on Medium about freelancing:

• Where should I start?

• How much should I charge?

• How do I get my first client?

The list goes on.

So I've decided to start this newsletter to help and answer the questions of new and upcoming freelancers.

It's also to motivate those who want to make that leap and are hesitant to make the leap

(hint: Just Do It!).

And to cheer everyone else to stay the course because it's not easy.

Above all, Freelancing is the future.

We're already seeing it. People are losing their jobs en mass and we've only just got out of Januneverary.

We'll have no choice but to start freelancing to keep the lights on.

This year I predict will be the beginning of a paradigm shift in the working world.

The average worker will be a freelancer.

Companies will begin to look to 3rd world locations with high skills to get labor for cheaper.

And AI will clean up whatever's left.

That's not a bad thing.

There will be opportunities for us to live life on our terms. To work as much and as long as we'd like.

I'm not a 7 figure freelancer. Shit, I'm barely a 6-figure freelancer.

But I have been doing it for 4+ years. I made the leap after 10 years in Corporate.

The least I can do is help as many people as I can who are right behind me.

Each one, teach one.

If you're interested in becoming the best freelancer you can be, stick around. I'll email you weekly to help you start and grow your freelance career or one-person business.

You can even share it with your friends 😁

If not, and you unsubscribe, no hard feelings.

I'll keep posting content on Medium that you can enjoy whenever you get a vibe.

Before I go, here are 8 Steps To Take Now If You Want To Freelance In 2023.

Take care,

Marv the 2K Freelancer
